I have been very fortunate in my working life. I loved it! Not too many people can say that. For the past twenty-five years or so, I have had great leaders, mentors, managers, and colleagues and I’ve worked in productive, energetic, competitive environments. Don’t get me wrong – it wasn’t always easy. I even remember the occasional harsh performance review ending with tears, me that is, not my Leader! Looking back, the feedback was real, honest and supportive which made me stronger. I’m still grateful for all the lessons learned from those experiences. A few of those mentors are still in my life, in one form or another and I’m indebted every day for the opportunities I gained along the way. The many clients I met had different stories of unfulfilled dreams, career objectives and toxic work cultures and I remember how lucky I was not to be in their shoes.
Yet occasionally, there were stellar organisations where employees were happy and thriving, candidates would line up to work there because of their culture and what they had heard was inspiring, and there were promotions, team-building days, and even bonuses! What made those places so different? Was it just about the people? It was more than that and I would love to share all the components that will transform the culture of your business to make it an even more successful one. The time is now to find out once and for all if there is a better way and then, move forward because remaining stagnant makes everyone feel disheartened and crave job satisfaction somewhere else. Everyone deserves a thriving, happy and successful workplace that only you, the business owner or leader can provide.

As a career recruiter and HR specialist working in a broad range of companies from small family start-ups to large corporate and government agencies, the common thread is people. Business is human and humans run businesses. Many people I have met dislike their jobs, their managers or both and could not see a path forward in the same organisation. Sadly, sometimes all three factors were combined and occasionally, they had also chosen the wrong career.
Many leaders cannot solve or understand why they have these problems with high staff turnover, low performance, low morale, wrong hires and even changing performance goalposts to suit the employee’s capabilities!
This is what inspired me to start up Crescendo Coaching.
Crescendo means get louder and to continually grow! Speak up – and Grow!
Mission
To empower everyone in our courses with the tools to understand their authentic selves so that they can enjoy their lives, their work and fulfil their ultimate career and company goals.
The answer is obvious. Look after the people in your business and they will look after your business. Imagine having a unified workplace where you and your team enjoy contributing. Where your team trusts and loyally follow you to live the company values. And it’s much more than this. It’s a harmonious team working together towards achieving dynamic goals, low staff turnover and real career development.
Because that’s what work should be like – should it not? It can be so different, so much better and everyone deserves it. You’re not born with these skills – you may need a coach.

Total transparency and total confidentiality. We work together. If we say we can deliver, we will, and you will always be kept informed of all developments. Otherwise, we will refer you to someone who can serve you better.
Communication
There are so many methods these days, phone, email, texts, and face-to-face. There’s really no reason for a lack of communication, one way or another, let’s agree to say what’s on our minds and what is getting in the way of achieving our goals.
Action
The great philosopher, Socrates said, “To be is to do” – that sums it up for me. We can discuss issues forever and it will sound great. It’s the doing part, the actions we take – that’s where all the hard work and fun begins. It can be scary; you may feel vulnerable at times – we will work together to keep an eye on the goals and outcomes and then we get to celebrate the results! We can’t just let things be if they’re not working.
Respect
We all have our personal lives and values to attend to, for example family and health, which of course will be respected. Nevertheless, flexibility is also part of our commitment to getting the job done around any “unforeseen” events. Respect for each other’s time and priorities should be mutual and we would be most grateful for sufficient notice for any cancellations or postponing sessions. We will get the job done!
